Our History

 

Tucson Optical Research Corporation (TORC), established in 1976 by Joe Appels, is a privately owned, Tucson based company that specializes in the fabrication of optical components and systems. We are a family run company that proudly includes three generations, with over 70 years of experience.

Although Joe can still be found in the office most days, his son (Ron Appels) and grandson (Ronnie Appels) handle the day to day operations. We are also proud to announce our fourth generation.
